Blank Journal Pages
I love my new Lumiere metallic acrylics!! They make my pages look amazing. These are a few blank journal pages waiting for some words. My first art journal is almost complete. I started this last June I think, and I titled it "A Year in Faith and Art" It has been a year in both, that's for sure. Blogspot is not letting me upload more that one pic at a time, so I will load some separately. The red and black pages are completely inspired by Artist Ingrid Dijikers. If by inspired, I mean that I completely stole her idea, then she inspired me ALOT!!! I just loved the look, and her artwork is so amazing. I am in awe when I see her stuff. Check out her blog in the bottom right of my page under Favorite links.

The Journey Unfolds
I will be taking a 3 day journal class in April when I go to "Art and Soul." The class is being taught by Misty Mawn, and I just got my retreat package today. Inside was an 8" ceramic fish that I am supposed to alter and then bring to the retreat, to show. Still working on that, but another cool thing I got was, a little fish, handpainted on watercolor paper, by Misty herself. It is very colorful and I love it. Here it is. It now holds a place of honor in my new journal.

My New Deskmate
My friend Dana, (whose amazing artwork you can view at http://artbydana.blogspot.com/ ) made this great little piece that sits on my desk. The image is from a custom stamp I had made, that I put on the back of my artwork. She then added some elements, embellished and soldered into this great little bit of eyecandy!! I love it!

Zentangles with a Twisty Twist!
The final four for the Face Swap. My hand is in a perpetual cramp, and I suddenly realize I need to dig my reading glasses out of my purse. This form is totally addicitng. And because there are different repeating patterns, no two are the same. Fun.

Zentangles with a Twist
One of the ladies in ATC_World, came up with the idea to add a face to zentangles. Whether it is stamped, collaged or drawn, once you add the face, then zentangle around it. I love this stamp, and I think it worked great for the concept. These were fun to do, and it kept it from getting kind of boring. Different, I really like them both. Although, the one on the right reminds me of a Yankees uniform.
